If  you wear your sweatshirts true to size or slightly bigger and looking to cover your waist and hips buy true size.  If you are looking for something baggier and longer buy the oversized, it covers the bum and is based on a unisex fit.  Take a look at the size chart, true size is from medium to XX large.  Oversize fit is available in sizes 1, 2 or 3.
